Gallery: Paintings of the Ocean, Puerto Escondido

There are fantastic waves here at Puerto Escondido but these paintings in the sand are also marvelous! Spoken just like an art critic, ahem. Is it just me or are these works of sand and ocean just astounding? This one  to the right has most recently been smudged by the incoming waves. These photos were taken on February 17th, 2017, the beginning of the surfing season here and of awesome waves. But I think you can still find these amazing sights before the season.

This one I rotated 180 just to disorient you... but clouds are also currents of water vapor moving about too, no? I'm still not sure what all this brown foam is about, maybe Oaxaqueño chocolate.

Here, the camera and still-picture makes this quite different from how I saw this originally. Now in digital form, this current of water running into the ocean is now curiously as scaley as a snake.

Here are the chevrons that distinctly remind me of a movie distributor logo. The Weinstein company. However, seeing the logo now, that logo looks more like three spotlights.

And here is a photo of the ocean's same technique without the black sand.
